How you will make a difference
In this key leadership role, you will make a strategic contribution to the direction and legal operation and governance of the Board. You will be responsible for providing strategic and operational legal advice and support to the Council and its departments with respect to a wide range of disciplines.
About the service
The Legal Governance and Democratic Services Division includes: legal services, internal audit, risk and insurance, risk and insurance, democracy and elections, land royalties, registration services and records management and information governance.
What are you going to do?
As a member of the management team, you will provide leadership, management and direction, replacing the head of service and oversight. You will provide high quality advice and support to departments, managers and advisors and act as deputy supervisory officer of the Board.
What we need from you:
You will have a recognized legal qualification such as an attorney or attorney, qualified in England and Wales and a substantial record of senior management achievement and experience in local government.
