Fans noticed an exceptional score in an England squad against media darts ahead of their European Championship final against Italy after Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a “Zero” against his name.
Members of the Three Lions team relaxed ahead of Sunday’s showdown at Wembley with a game of darts against the media.
Although Gareth Southgate and his players triumphed, it was a much closer racing competition than their last such challenge in the 2018 World Cup final in Russia.
At the time, England beat the media 9-2, but this time it was only a narrow 7-6 victory.
The scoreboard, written on a flip chart, was tweeted by the FA’s senior communications officer for England, Andy Walker.
Although he was a prolific shooter for most of last season, scoring a career-high 21 goals for the Blues and winning his first international appeal (since scoring on his debut against the Country of Wales, he has now scored four times in 11 games for his country), Calvert-Lewin seemed to have a harder time hitting the target when standing on the pike.

Calvert-Lewin’s Everton team-mate Jordan Pickford won their game 60-47 while there was also a 61-21 win for Liverpool captain J ordan Henderson.
