Relationship Manager, Music Education | The Music Journal
Arts Council England is looking for a passionate and collaborative individual to join our Cambridge office team as Relationship Manager, Music Education. You will work with organizations from various art forms, including music, in the East of England, while also collaborating with colleagues in the South East and National Teams, to implement our current strategy of Let’s Create.
The role is to be the point of contact between partners, potential candidates and the Arts Council. Help ensure that the resources and support we provide are shared and understood by a wide range of people, especially those who face barriers in accessing our support.
This includes managing relationships with our national portfolio organizations in the East, including Creative People and Places projects and music education centers, ensuring that risks are well managed and helping these organizations achieve the goals they have set for themselves. Knowledge of diverse and socially engaged artistic practice is required. Knowledge of music, the formal and / or informal education sector and experience working with local authorities and other strategic partners would be advantages.
The incumbent will be a visible representative of the Arts Council, supporting its functions as an independent public body, fulfilling its role as a development agency and maintaining the standards as a funding distributor.
This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis, 35 hours per week. Typically the position is based in the Cambridge office and involves working in the East of England. Currently, Arts Council staff largely work from home due to Covid-19. Our account managers must have a high degree of autonomy and are supported to work both in the office and remotely in order to be effective and efficient in their work.
